Accessible Design System
Accessible Design is something I’m personally very passionate about. I had the opportunity to design the entire Magnifi U experience with a goal to be baseline AA compliant in alignment with the ADA, with the option for users to activate AAA features.

While the ADA guidelines address the needs of users with ocular disabilities, I felt we could also address the needs and create an improved experience for users with auditory or motor disabilities. I researched and implemented additional options to be activated within the account set-up process which included text-to-speech, speech-to-text, eye tracking mouse input, and virtual keyboards. Additionally, I lead the initiative to design interactions and activities to include these various ways to input information. These design and UX/UI considerations create a welcoming environment for users with disabilities.
Usability Studies
In order to validate our assumptions or test our expectations, I advocated for regular testing of our platform.
I was responsible for:
- Collecting questions from various members of the team to add to the test
- Make the test plan and present for approval
- Facilitate the test as needed
- Review and collect the data
- Present findings and observations to stakeholders
Discover Your Strengths Learning Path
The Discover Your Strengths Learning Path, featuring the Gallup CliftonStrengths assessment, was a unique and exciting challenge. With the help of the Magnifi U Gallup-Certified Coaches, we collaborated on a completely personalized learning experience featuring each user’s individual CliftonStrengths results. Throughout the project, we iterated on several approaches as we optimized the design for both mobile and desktop devices. In partnership with leaders at the Gallup corporation, we integrated their feedback and created the first-of-its-kind digital learning experience based around the CliftonStrengths assessment.
